Kaelie started her piano studies early on in Music For Young Children, and later studied piano under pianist Glenn Paul. She began playing guitar at age 13 and soon after took an interest in playing the drums. Kaelie has been performing in musicals since the age of 12 and later taught vocals in musical productions for young children.
Kaelie went on to teach vocals and beginners music in elementary schools as part of a music credit. Kaelie also performed for four years with a competitive choir.
Now married, Kaelie has been living in Calgary, Alberta for the past 4 years. Soon after having her first child, Kaelie took her 14 years of playing and performing experience and began teaching private piano and vocal lessons from her home. She soon realized that teaching music was her calling.
At home Kaelie loves to witness her daughters joyfully dancing, clapping and singing along to the wonderful program that is Kindermusik and is excited to share this joy with other families.
Kaelie’s classes are enjoyable for the whole family. Parents and children a like are encouraged to explore their creative side as she engages them in a musical experience that provides learning, laughter and a bond between parent and child that will last a life time.
Kaelie strives to inspire in her students the same passion and fulfillment she feels through the expression of music.
Kat began her formal music studies with two years of piano lessons, and sang in the Mount Royal Junior Children’s Choir. She kept singing throughout her school years, in jazz, show, and concert choirs. She discovered a love for the guitar as a teenager and took three years of guitar lessons, which led to working as a music teacher for kids, a summer camp song-leader, and leading song sessions at an Extendicare for residents with dementia. In the past few years, she’s taken voice lessons with Singsana Performing Arts and sings in a contemporary Israeli rock band called Heebster.
Born and raised in Calgary, Kat studied at McGill and SAIT and traveled abroad before settling back in Calgary with her husband. They live in Riverbend with their daughter. Kat loves watching her daughter clapping and moving to the Kindermusik songs and seeing her eyes light up at the bells and shaker eggs.
Music has been central to Kat’s life, and she’s excited to share her passion for it as a Kindermusik teacher. She loves how music can be used for developmental growth and to build literacy, while simultaneously providing opportunities for families to connect and support each other. She looks forward to forming new communities in her classes and meeting the next generation of music-lovers.

Callie and Jackson LOVE going to kindermusik! It’s a good time for all of us to bond and the kids learn so much about sounds, songs, interacting in a group setting and many other things!
I highly recommend going to a kindermusik class with your little ones and seeing how fun and educational they are.
Kaelie is one of the nicest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. Her classes are always well prepared, fun and knowledgeable. She makes every child and parent feel comfortable during every class and is very encouraging and respectful. She also puts on special events like Halloween and Christmas parties with fun activities and prizes which everyone really loves
