Owner & Founder,
Kaelie Mckop (Miss Kaelie) is the Musical Director and Founder of Kindermusik By Kaelie. She has been singing since she before she could talk and began dancing and playing piano at the age of four.
Miss Kaelie has been a licensed Kindermusik Educator and Business Owner since 2013. With years of teaching experience in dance, choir, and private piano and voice; Kaelie knows what children need in order to remain engaged, feel successful and enjoy their musical experiences every single class!
At home Miss Kaelie loves to witness her daughters joyfully dancing, playing and singing along to the wonderful program that is Kindermusik and is excited to share this joy with other families.
Miss Kaelie’s program is enjoyable for the whole family. Parents and children a like are encouraged to explore their creative side as she engages them in a musical experience that provides learning, laughter and a bond between parent and child that will last a life time.
Miss Kaelie strives to inspire in her students (and teachers) the same passion and fulfillment she feels through the expression of music.
Holly used to be a very serious competitive swimmer, on track to compete in the olympic trails by the time she turned 16. However, she sustained a stress injury to her knee and ankle forcing her to withdraw from physical activities. Having newly found free time on her hands from not being able to do physical activities, She started branching out and finding news ways to fill her free time; Which is when she started bringing music into her life seriously.
She began focusing on classical voice training with a heavy emphasis in musical theatre, competing in music festivals, taking RCM exams, as well as singing with a competitive choir; Which gave her the opportunity to compete in a music festival in South Africa, taking home the grand prize representing Canada.
Music quickly became the biggest aspect in her life and she fell in love with the unique ways it let her express herself without having to use words. However, the perfectionist culture that came along with it was something that she struggled immensely with, always feeling like she was inferior to those around her, as well as never feeling like she was good enough for herself.
This is why Kindermusik’s program and outlook is so important to her.
It is Miss Holly’s passion to share her love of music with children and help them discover all the amazing benefits that come along with it; Without the restrictions of feeling like they need to be perfect, or are inferior to their peers.
Sheila started playing piano and guitar at a very young age, but found
her real musical passion when she picked up the flute at the age of
10. Sheila spent the next 8 years working through the RCM exams,
successfully completing her Grade 8 exam in Flute Performance with
first class honours. One of Sheila’s favourite parts of music is
learning new instruments. Over the years she has played flute, bass
clarinet, tenor sax, cello, and bass guitar in various groups and
ensembles. Recently she has started to teach herself how to play the
violin – a difficult but very rewarding endeavour!
Singing has also been a part of Sheila’s life from a very young age,
from church choir, to high school choir, to singing in a few rock
bands. Most recently Sheila was singing for Calgary band High
Parade, who released their debut album in 2018. At home, Sheila and
her finance are often composing fun songs to sing while doing boring
Sheila considers singing to be the most meaningful way that music has
influenced her life, as it helped her overcome her shy nature and grow
her confidence. This is what attracted Sheila to Kindermusik – the
opportunity to share her passion of music with children, and to help
them find their own voice the way that she has.
Miss Sheila’s warm, gentle nature allow her students to instantly feel comfortable and safe in her presence. She brings a natural enthusiasm and sense of humor to each class that make them enjoyable for children and parent’s alike.

I absolutely love Kindermusik by Kaelie. We started classes when our son was around 11 months old. I can’t say enough about how amazing these classes are. We knew from a young age that our son was musical, when we found Kindermusik we were beyond excited. Watching our son learn and grow every week we go to class makes my heart melt. He is more social now as well. I believe every child should take kindermusik with Kaelie classes.
Kindermusik by Kaelie is a wonderful program. Our family decided to try Kindermusik when our son was just 3 months old. We have enjoyed singing, dancing, playing instruments and so much more. It is an engaging experience that has allowed us to create so many memories and helped us learn about our little ones development through the connection of music and movement. We love Kindermusik and know you will too!
